A private tour is a fixed set trip plan often run by a tour guide employed by a tour company to do specific stops for specific times with rehearsed information delivery. A custom tour is led by a tour guide who knows the area very well and can cater to your specific daily preference. A custom tour guide will have already communicated with you and organized your detailed touring plan.

What vehicles are used for custom touring?

Generally speaking a robust 6 – 12+ seat vehicle is used for this touring as required. It is clean, serviceable and comfortable but not fancy (that’s left to private touring companies). Keep in mind a custom tour guide and vehicle must be very versatile. Flexibility is key priority. One day they may have been exploring, hiking or driving up a mountain carrying cheese and wine for guests and the next traveling to gourmet restaurants.

How long does it take to organize a custom tour?
